Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Nasty Divorce
I am the father of a beautiful little girl. Now that her mother and I are divorcing, her mother is making this very difficult. She has filed for the divorce, but has not served me with the papers. I was informed that this is a stall tactic and that I am actually stuck until she either serves me or I have to wait a year. We have been legally seperated for over a year and I do not think she wants to let go. I on the other hand am ready to move on, but I am very concerned with the well being of my daughter. Her mother keeps telling her we will be getting back together and just confusing her.
Are there any lawyers in the S. Florida area that specialize in Fathers rights? I want to be sure to be represented by someone that knows what I am going through and wants to help this situation.

Re: Nasty Divorce
You should file an action against her for dissolution and take control fo the matter.
Re: Nasty Divorce
You need not wait and can start your own action.
Re: Nasty Divorce
You do not need to wait for her to serve you with the papers. You can start the divorce on your own and serve her with the papers. If you are looking for an attorney to represent you in the divorce and deal with the child custody issues, please do not hesitate to contact me for a free consultation if you are still looking. I wish you the best.
