Attorneys prepare their clients and witnesses for court. They run through the facts, they ask possible questions, and they tell the client what to expect. An attorney will also tell you which parts of what you want to say are legally important and which parts are not. When the unknown is removed and you know what is important to say, you will be less nervous about any situation. If you have an attorney, you should make sure s/he prepares you for court. If not, you need to retain an attorney to help you.
