Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My niece is 16 years old. Her mother sent her to live with her father in AL and soon after she became pregnant. Since then her father has physically assaulted her, called the police to remove her from the home because he said he did not want her anymore nor did her mother. She has not received prenatal care and the only ultrasound she has had was at the abortion clinic. They have sent her to live with two different strangers and currently she is in IL until she gives birth at which time they want to force her to give the child up for adoption. She has not been in school for almost two months because they will not allow her. I have told her father that I will take her since they do not want her and he said no. I need to get my niece into a loving environment but I don't know where to begin. Do I even have a case?

You need to contact the family services in that area and report the situation of your niece to them. If there is a police report then they can act on your niece's behalf and remove her from where she is to a home for pregnant teenagers and get schooling at the same time. As to forcing her to give up her child is another issue that she will need to deal with. She needs counselling and yes! prenatal care.
Maybe, but it's probably not in Florida. Since she doesn't live in Florida, Florida probably doesn't have jurisdiction. Jurisdiction is probably in Illinois, but it may be in Alabama. You should call an Illinois lawyer first to see if that state has jurisdiction and learn if you have a case.
