Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am a non custodial parent. my son is 8 years old and we have never met. Mother moved to oregon and established paternity there and filed for child support. i did not know i was the father because there were several men in the line up for paternity but after it was proven i tried to make the best of it. i live in fl so the best i could ever get was phone calls and a few pictures. When my son turned 5 the mother began dating an illegal alien and completely cut me off. no phone calls to my son after continuously trying to get through so i essentially gave up and that was a mistake. the mother contacted me recently and let me talk to my son a few times. i told her i want visitation and she filed fore sole custody and to terminate my rights. i responded denying all allegations of abandonment because ive tried to make contact. ive been calling and shes refusing contact. since i asked to have visitation she told me i couldnt have that due to my sons mental disabilities and it would traumatize him. what should i expect for a best case scenario outcome to this matter? The custody matter is in oregon and child support is in fl.

Oregon law controls, Florida is out of the picture.you really need to speak with an Oregon attorney.
If you want to establish your parental rights you have to file the case in OR.
