Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Notarized Paper

My ex-husband agreed to pay half of my house payment ($185.00) per month until the house is paid off and had the paper notarized. Now he is married to a younger woman who said ''no way''. Do I have any recourse or is there anything I can do legally? Help, this has put me in a financial bind.

Re: Notarized Paper

If the paper that your ex-husband signed was a Marital Settlement Agreement, then you need to file a Motion to Enforce that agreement. His new wife does not have a say in the matter that effects you. You do have legal remedies. If you entered into a contract then that would have to be reviewed to determine that the contract is legal and binding. If binding, then you file an action to enforce it.
