You should have an attorney represent you in the adoption. That attorney will be able to help you obtain Temporary Guardianship of the child until the adoption is final.

If you are in the process of adopting this child then your attorney and the attorney for the birth parents (in florida) should be working out all of the details for arranging custody. Your question is vague. I don't even know if you are Certified as Qualified Adoptive Parent(s). Please speak to your attorney and if you are not happy with the anwers then get a new attorney.
