Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Hello, I am asking this for an older lady friend who does not speak English very well, She was/is married, unemployed for a while, lived w/ her husband & his Mother, they have 2 cars he made the payments on hers, and then she got a p/t job, but he suddenly just left her, there was NO indication or reason why...he just left. I presume that is abandonment, he suddenly began to text her asking "How are you doing, are you OK?...etc. Then the other day she received what she thinks are divorce papers, and in them he states he wants alimony from HER & the car that he bought her & was paying for, back...But, she needs it for work, he has a truck and is employed, based on the above (and this is in FL), since there was NO HINT & nothing was ever mentioned about him wanting to end the marriage, he just left her without a word. Does she have any rights to A) Keep the vehicle, B) Sue/Collect Alimony & C) Legally can she claim that he ABANDONED Her? Thank you for your time.

How long have they been married. Yes she has rights. I take it she is still living with his mother? I suggest you take her to an attorney ASAP.

The papers must be answered within 20 days or a default will be entered.

She could lose the car and may be responsible for debts to him.
