Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have been in an ongoing divorce for four years. My initial attorney, hired a forensic accountant, who confirmed money owed to me. However from the outset my attorney has continously advised me to settle for less than 10,000 dollars during mediation. When i refused, the attorney fired me as a client after taking almost 13,000 in legal fees. I got a referral to a different attorney who with the exact same file from the original attorney got me a trial in which i was awarded in excess of 100,000 dollars. Is it possible to sue the original attorney for malpractice to recoup some if any of my original fees to her?
