Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Order states NCP must pay 50% of uninsured medical expenses. CP is to provide receipts and NCP has XX days to pay. If not paid, amount to be added to arrears.

NCP is not paying as ordered, and owes thousands. DOR is moving at their own pace to enforce. Doesn't seem right that CP has to front the money and then try to collect from NCP, and keep going back to court to try to enforce. Can CP ask medical provider to bill NCP their portion of the bills?

If CP has a court order stating that NCP is responsible for 50% of uninsured medical expenses, I think you can ask medical provider to bill NCP's portion directly. Unfortunately, usually CP is the person who signed the obligation to pay bills before services were rendered. In the meantime, I suggest you continue to try to push your case along with Child Support Enforcement. I realize they are heavily backlogged, but they are representing your interests in this matter. I wish you the best of luck.
