Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
out-of-state
I have recently traveled from Florida to Texas with my minor son, who I have primary residential custody of, because I need financial support from my family at this time. Minor son's father has not paid child support for 5 consecutive months and is currently in ''contempt of court'' for outstanding monies owed and his drivers license and registration are being (trying) taken away because of $76,000.00 arrearages as of May 18, 2006. He just filed and injunction against me for removing the child from Palm Beach County. What do I do??? I have no family in Florida to help me and was not employed. Also, I was told by the father if I did not close my Dept. of Revenue case against him he would change locks on my doors. (he owns the unit I was residing) Does nayone know what I should do next??

Retain counsel in Palm Beach to oppose his application and permit your relocation.
