Overpayment of Child Support

Can a person recove overpayment of child support if he has the documentation to prove that he no longer owed any money, but his salary and income tax refund continued to be garnished. If so, is there a statute of limitations for the retribution. This is in the proximity of $9000. Thank you for your response.

Brand new question. You could get a judgment agsints your ex; however you would be in no better position than any creditor of your ex, i.e. it may not be so easy to collect. I have no idea on what the statute of limitations would be.
