Parenity testing after divorce

Divorced and requesting a parenity test and married at the time the child was born, does Florida law permit me to request a parenity test?

Re: Parenity testing after divorce

I think you are asking about a paternity test to determine the father of the child. If you have a child during wedlock the husband is presumed the father. However, you may always try to overcome that presumption by having the alleged father take the test. You may need a court order to have him do it. Since fathering a child incurs all the necessary support for that child, since it is in the childs best financial interest (maybe not overall interest depending on the circumstances) to have this done - your answer is yes.
