Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

paternity issue

My fiance's ex is a former heroin addict with felony convictions, however his family has significant financial resources. While we have been living together she slept with him and is now pregnant with his child. He knows this. She does not want an abortion and does not want him to be the father of record. What is the likelihood that he would be granted a paternity test, and what legal actions can we take to prevent him from having that option if we choose to have this child together?

If he files a paternity action, he'll get his test, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it.
