Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I took a paternity test and found out I have a 3 year old from my ex gf. I am now paying support but she will not contact me back after many attempts to have my name on the BC so he can be on my insurance and set up visitation. If she isnt responding what is my next step?

A petition in court to declare paternity, set visitation and add name to birth certificate
You need to file a petition with the court to determine paternity. Once your paternity of the child is established, you can ask the court to order a Parenting Plan that includes time-sharing with the child.
You have to file a lawsuit to enforce your rights to the child. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659.
You need to file a Petition with the court to acknowledge your Paternity and for a Parenting Plan with Time Sharing (formerly visitation). This Petition will need to be served on the Mother and she will have an opportunity to respond.
Contact an attorney for legal assistant with filing the Petition and representing your interest as Father of your child.

Hello:
I see quite a few answers, but I'll add a comment and I'm in Jax if you need counsel.
They all say to file a Paternity suit. I assume if you took DNA test, Paternity may already be established. If so, you file your motion for visitation, shared parental responsibility (decision making) and the demand for the name change in that case. If no Paternity case has been filed, you need to go that route. It is not complicated. Give us a call if we can be of assistance. Good luck. Tom Rosenblum
