Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

does my ex have to pay child support?

my daughters father and I were never married. I moved to FL from NH 2 years ago and have never received any support from him. he never tried to stop us from moving and we keep in touch through phone calls. he thinks he doesn't have to pay because I live more than 50 miles away... is that true? and if so, would my new fiance and I have to move to NH?

Yes, he has to pay. Distance and visitation have nothing to do with child support obligations. Of course, if he requests visitation, you may be responsible for periodically flying your daughter up to see her father. It is unlikely that your would have to move back at this point.
