Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Im paying child support through the state of Massachusetts. My children, who are all over 18, live in Florida and have been for 8 years. I now know that Florida should have jurisdiction . I want to transfer this case to Florida and drop my support obligations. My youngest dropped out of high school then recently got her GED. Will Florida do this?

You can do this but I would suggest that you check your divorce documents to be sure that after the age of 18 that your child support stops. If it continues for college then you need to notify the State of Massachusetts which children are in college. - if none, then according to what your divorce documents states will determine if child support will be eliminated. You can do this by telephone at no extra expense to you. However, if you do need assistance, please contact my office for an appointment.
