Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Ex not paying medical insurance as ordered

Ex-husband was ordered to supply medical insurance up to $360/mo. for 5 years. He had insurance in place for 1.5 yrs then cancelled it in June of 05. I have since been paying for my prescriptions (in excess of $500/mo. - I have numerous health issues & I'm not able to work full time). We finally had a hearing this month but the judge did not address anything regarding reimbursement to me for either the prescriptions OR the $360/mo. for the last year. He only ordered him to pay me $360/mo. directly so that I may go and find insurance. Can I take him to small claims court to recover the out of pocket expenses from the medication for the last year? I don't see it to be at all fair that he can violate a court order & leave me more than $5000 in the hole!

Re: Ex not paying medical insurance as ordered

If the issue was raised, it should have been addressed or an explanation given. Seek a rehearing.
