Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
personal property
I have a truck / boat / and bills that were paid off combined in a personal note. Truck is in my name. Boat is in both. Personal note is in both names. In the event of a divorce will I be able to keep my truck? My only means of getting to work.
How would that work if wife wants the boat? Who pays the loan?

Re: personal property
The circumstances are very difficult to give an answer - it is likely that depending on the seperation of the assets (marital), that she would want the boat, but she is obligated under the boat. However, you will have to be taken off that note (either through re-financing or the finance company revising its note). These are some possibilities.
Best of luck.
