Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Petioning to add a father
When my twins were born, I was
married but seperated for over 5
years from my ex who refused a
divorce. The biological father was
never added to birth cert. My ex
husband has since passed away, so
how do I add the twins father to the
birth cert.? The twins were born in
New York, but we now live in Florida

You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. You would have to find out from the State of New York what their procedures are. When you do, you can then apply for an Amended Birth Certificate or Birth Record.
