After the petitioner files a petition for visitation and the respondent answers if they state their terms does the petitioner have to file an answer to counterpetition

Hello:

I am not sure I fully understand the question. I would need to know more facts and your demands to advise whether or not to file a Counter-Petition. Basically, if the Petition includes everything that Respondent may want, there would be no need to file a Counter-Petition. If Respondent has his/her own demands, he/she needs to file a Counter/Petition. If Respoindent is simply denying the requests of the Petition, an Answer does that. Good luck. Tom Rosenblum
