Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am the Petitioner in a Paternity case against the mother of our daughter who is the Respondent. Our case is at the 2nd Mediation point in the case. During the 1st Mediation, the Mediator informed the mother that she must add me to her daycare, medical, and dental records so that I can have access to those records. She has not added me to none of them. Is there something I can do to have myself added to those records without having to wait on her to add me, when she seems like she has no plans to do so, or, is that something I have to wait to bring up in court, if the case goes to court?

You need to file a motion for temporary relief. This is so you do not have to wait for the final hearing to get this. Put your request for the access to that info. in the body of your motion. You file the motion with the Clerk and send a copy to opposing side. You will need to call the clerk and ask for the procedures to get a brief hearing on your motion. You may be allowed to call the judge's sec. to set the hearing...but call the clerk first. good luck. Tom Rosenblum
She is supposed to add you and let you have access to all records for the child. This is part of shared parenting. If she does not you have to file a motion to enforce with the court.
Use of a lawyer is recommended.
