Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I would like to know if there is ANY possibility to have my parental rights restored? My husband pased away in 2004 ad dcf terminated my rights and so therefore my husbands parents adopted my daughter who is now 15 yrs old. She wants to be with her biological mother, not grandmother who is in her 60's and obviously has no idea on how to raise a teenager. It was supposed to be an open adoption but when I asked if I could have her for a weekend, she said absolutely not! What can I do and please dont say nothing. And there is no working with her on anything!

You are no longer this child's parent. Her grandparents are now her mother and father. If your bio child is having problems - she needs to report this to the school she is attending - principal and/or counsel - have them initiate an investigation into the family life through DCF. If DCF finds there is some problems, they can remove the child and then YOU can file for Temporary Custody.

However, before going to the extreme length - contact the mother/grandmother and ask her once again for an opportunity to see your bio child. If she again refuses then it will be up to the bio child to file charges of mistreatment with the DCF .

Remember - you are no longer the parent - you could be charged with stalking if you show up at her school or other places she may go without their approval.
