Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Post nup question

My husband and I own two homes that are in both of our names. We want to keep them separate in the post nup. One to be his and one mine with all the implications (if he sells the profits are his, and I can do the same with mine). How do I word this and is it legal?

Yes, it is legal. It would have to be worded to state exactly what you want it to say including the street address and legal description of each property.

I do not recommend that you do this by yourself. Any error can invalidate the entire agreement and defeat your purpose. An investment in hiring an attorney to draft a prenuptial agreement would be wise.
