Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

post nuptual agreement

we are married, don't have kids and want to sign a post nup., or some kind of an agreement regulating division of assets in case of a divorse. if we list the assets and point out who gets what ourselves (without a lawer) and get this paper notarised would it be recognised by law/in court? it won't be a long list and the paper can be quite clear.

thank you in advance,

Re: post nuptual agreement

You can certainly draft your own agreement. However, you may want to get the advice of an attorney as these agreements are voidable if certain steps have not been taken.
