NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

You will need to schedule an appointment with an attorney in your locale. A prenuptial agreement is a complex instrument which must be drafted according to Florida law in order to be valid. Financial statements of each party must be attached or at least formally disclosed to each other.

You can discuss a fee agreement with the attorney in advance.

Re: pre nup

You are better off having the attorney draft if for you (usually for the same price) but I would be happy to look at it. Keep in mind that I can only represent one party. The other party needs to get counsel separately (or the contract may be challenged). You can email me for instructions. You do not need to be local for this. I frequently do this through the mail.
