Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Pre-Trial Conference

I am representing myself in my divorce case that has been going on for 2 years. Opposing counsel will not coordinate the pre-trial conference, yet he continues to request hearings regarding a 2 year old temporary order. I would like a short matters hearing to explain this to the Judge. What type of motion do i need to file?

Re: Pre-Trial Conference

First of all, get a lawyer. Obviuosly, you're getting your butt kicked because you don't have a lawyer.

Secondly, the short matters calendar is probably not the place for the type of hearing your want. The short matters calendar is generally for perfunctory matters where there is no argument.

Last, the type of motion you want probably doesn't exist.

There is nothing more expensive than not having a lawyer. Get one right away.
