Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

im in the process of getting full / temporary custody of a child a few months from now

I'm not a relative, there is rumor going around, that someone else has papers signed to take custody of that child. to get him if something happens to him. Could she could take him from me since she's a relative even though I would have legal papers stating hes mine? Could she come and just take him even though the mother signed papers over to me, and put him in my care?

You have to talk to a family law attorney in your town. Much too complicated to be answered here.

One issue: Consent of the mother - if you have consent then it will be up to the court and the other party to dispute why this should not be so. However if this is the bio dad - then you will need an attorney to go over the situation. If the bio dad's rights have not been terminated then again - you will need an attorney.

If someone has a court order and you do not then you will lose.
