If i live with my girlfriend and we make a purchase together souuch as a car how can i protect my investment incase of a breakup?

If you make a purchase together you should have a contract drawn up which discusses what will be done with that asset and debt in the event of a break up. On the other hand, keep purchases and accounts separate.
