Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

property

Son getting divorce. He has the house, she has moved out and bought her own. Took everything she wanted. Question: The garage is full of ''garage sale'' stuff. She has been gone for over 3 months...says she wants some of the things but will not come and get them. How long does he have to ''store'' these things? He would like to have his garage back. She keeps putting it off.

He should send her a letter , certified mail that he will dispose of them and give her a reasonable time to pick them up.

He should not dispose of any property until a court rules on the case, or until there is a settlement. His attorney can advise him further. If he does not have one, he needs one.
