Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Providing Copies to Opposing Parties

I am a Pro Se Litigant and usually use the Self-Service Center to obtain forms for filing. In almost all of the forms I have aquired, there is a paragraph at the bottom of the form that says I have sent a copy of the document to the opposing party. However, the Affidavit and Motion for Commitment form does not have that paragraph. I was told that if that paragraph is not there, I am not responsible for sending a copy to the opposing party. Now, my ex husband is threatening me because I did not send him a copy of that document. Do you know what the Procedure is for this specific filing?

A copy of every legal filing must be served on the other side.
