Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have ptsd and my sons father found out and now hes trying to get primary custody. We didn't agree in mediation now we're going to court in Jan. Hes trying to tell me if I don't sign the parenting plan that he wont let me see my son until court. Can I keep my son from him til the court date bc I'm worried he will try to keep him from me. I want to offer him a temp agreement to sign so that way he can see him as long as I know he'll bring him back.

Technically, you can keep him until Court if you're worried about him keeping him from you if you don't already have a timesharing order in place. If you do, this will not look good for you before your next court date.

What the heck is "ptsd"? You do not need to sign the parenting plan until the date of the hearing - the judge will handle this for you. It may not be what you want but then again it could be. Never be forced into signing anything. Speak to the Judge and tell him what you want.

Since there is no plan in effect, keep your son until the hearing.
