Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Hello there my question is about divorce. i am a canadian who got married in south africa while i was visiting the country to a man and i left the country 2 months later without my husband and havent went back since. He and i have both moved on and i am unsure of how i can file for a divorce when i am currently residing in america and dont want to go back to south africa.
My spouse is willing to sign the divorce papers, we have no property or assests or kids, we just want to keep what we had going into a marriage (we had nothing anyways we were both very young) but would just like this over so we can move on.
He and i were only married a month and 3 weeks before seperating.
Please advice will be appreciated. Thank you

You may be able to start an action for dissolution in the court where you reside. More information is needed.

If you are resident of the state of Florida (for at least 6 months) and he is willing to sign the documents for an uncontested proceeding, acknowledge receiving notice and waive is attendance in court, you may be able to dissolve your marriage in the county in which you reside.
Speak with a local attorney for consultation.
