Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

This question is regarding marital property and the state is Florida.

Scenario: Power of attorney has been given to a daughter, she filed in behalf of her sickly mother,(cancer), father was served with papers! His 2 trucks, Harley and his collection of guns were taken and part of these were said to be already sold and he would be recieving a check from wife's attorney, splittig the money half way. Is this legal?

Filed what on behalf of a sickly mother? A divorce? A divorce cannot be filed by power of attorney. The rest of it may be legal, but you haven't given enough facts for me to know what happened.
