Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have a question regarding Permanent Guardanship. My son live in Florida with his mom and stepfather. He is 10 years old. I pay child support but the last revision was 7 years ago and the mother never asked again for a revision. The mother is having mental issues and my son's stepfather was assigned as temporary guardanship until the mother recover. Now the Florida Department of Family wants to give the stepfather Permanent Guardanship of my son. Once the stepfather reeceived the permamnent guardanship, can he ask for a Child Support Revision?

I suggest you contact an attorney immediately. I do not believe that the step father will gain permanent guardianship of your son - perhaps temporary while the mother is recovering from her illness. I suggest you file for a revision and request temporary custody of your son while the mother is disabled and ask for suspension of child support during the period you have custody of the child. IF the stepfather wishes to ask for an increase in child support, it will be on behalf of the mother while she is disabled.
Probably. Why don't you request custody?
