Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have a question regarding my situation in a time-sharing and child support case. i live in Florida.
I have just signed my paternity settlement agreement\parenting plan with the mother of my child. We were nor married and had separated when the baby was one.
In our agreement - i (the father) is responsible for 50% of the medical bills including vision and dental psych eyewear etc. the agreement was signed on 11\25\24. The mother is now sending my bills from doctor visits done BEFORE 11\25 (some going back to September) that are delinquent and haven't been paid fully \ paid partially demanding I pay the 50% as agreed although the doctor visits were prior to the signed agreement. This goes to multiple doctor invoices that have payment plans on them and she's requesting I pay 50% of them. The contract does not state anything regarding "date of service" vs " date of payment therefore I believe they're trying their best to come after more money and intentionally wait with unpaid bills. her and her lawyer are threatening to call for legal actions and i wanted to know if there's ground for it. My logic says that I am responsible for 50% of the doctor visits that occur AFTER 11/25/24 since that's when we signed the agreement.
Thank you for your help !!
