Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
A question about the supposedly
''A relatively new law is in place in Florida, which puts the burden on the party seeking to relocate more than 50 miles with the child(ren).''
What exactly does this mean? ''Puts the burden on the party seeking to relocate more than 50 miles with the children?''
I want divorced to get out of an emotionally and sometimes physically relationship. I want to move as far away as possible with our 2 year old. I do not have ''hard'' evidence, it would be all he said/she said. It doesn't seem fair that in a place like Tampa, that is so expensive to live and to find a good job for a single parent to have to stay, just because the dad is there. I feel held captive and it angers me to no end. It doesn't seem fair.

Re: A question about the supposedly
The flipside is that it isn't fair to take a child away from the other parent.
It means that you have to prove that it's better for the child to be moved away than to stay near the other parent. It's very difficult to prove and, under the new law, few parents are being granted the right to move their children away.
