Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have a question. If your child is visiting a parent and the parent goes away for the weekend and leaves the child(16) with no adult supervision. What will happen? The place is a very high crime rate area.Granted the exs in laws live a few miles away,
but something could have happened and no one would have known if he was not able to call for help. The final divorce judgement says child is to left in the care of a responsible adult,I know how teen agers are,This makes my 4th son.

There is no law preventing a parent from leaving a 16-year-old alone for a weekend. I know your agreement prevents it, but I think most judges would say that the provision in your agreement was meant to apply to when your son was younger.
