Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Quitclaim deed

If my ex-spouse signed a quitclaim deed for the marital house to me and the quitclaim states that I am a ''married woman'' at the time it was excecuted, is that document valid, legally?

I just got divorced and I am now refinancing, the bank is now saying that because the document states my status as ''a married woman'' it has to be redone to read ''single woman'' Is is true? are they correct? the bank also has a copy of the marital settlement and the divorce decree. What should I do in this case? If I do not change it to read ''single'', will my EX have any rights in the future, in case I decide to sell the house? Please advise. THANK YOU!

Re: Quitclaim deed

The bank is incorrect but it may take an attorney to show them the error of their ways.
