Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have raised "my daughter" her whole life. Her mother was addicted and consented to me "keeping" her. She is 17 now and although we talked about it briefly a few times I didn't realize until recently how much she has wanted me to adopt her. I don't have a lot of money but we do ok for simple things. I heard adoption was very expensive which was why I haven't done it, but now that I know how much it has effected her I'd like to know if this is still an option and how much it will cost.
