Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I read a similar problem posted on your site. We have been married about 3 years. During that time, he has lived in my apartment. We have 3 children, an 8 year old, a 3 year old, and a 9 month old. He has never contributed financially to the household or the children in any way. He doesn't contribute emotionally either. He refuses to watch his own children while I work saying, "I don't babysit!" He has worked briefly, went to a Vo-Tech school, but now refuses to get a job. We have fallen behind in the household bills and financial help has always come from my family. If he gets mad, he will refuse to make dinner, even for the kids. There is more wrong with this marriage than there is right. How do I get him to leave the apartment especially when his name is on the lease? Can I evict him? He says the only way he'll leave is with a police escort. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

You can't evict someone whose name is on the lease. If (or, I guess, when) you file for divorce, you may be able to have the apartment lease awarded to you.
