Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I receive child support from a divorce for my daughter. Her father has applied for Social Security Benefits because he is 62. My daughter is eligible for payments from the Social security. Can he stop paying the child support and assume that what I get from the social security to cover his child support payments?

He can't stop child support, but the amount she receives from social security acts as a credit on his support. So, for example, if his support is normally $600 per month and your daughter starts receiving $400 per month from social security, his support to you goes down to $200 per month.
