Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Received my prenup. Wedding is in four weeks. Fianc is worth 18 million. Prenup states that I get a $75,000 check if married 15 years plus. My fianc Assures me that this "I say insulting " prenup is negotiated with my attorney. And that this is always how they're done. My question is what are the chances I will end up being happy with my prenup? Since it started so insulting .

Insistence upon a prenuptial agreement does not bode well for a successful marriage. However, with an 18 million dollar estate at stake, especially if he had a previous failed marriage, you can't really blame him for wanting one. Is his family behind this. I suggest retaining counsel to handle and negotiate the prenuptial agreement. While you should pick your own attorney, have your fiance pay for it. This shouldn't be ugly. If he refuses, know that your are being set up as a "temporary" wife.
My practice includes the preparation and negotiation of pre-nuptial agreements.

I agree with Mr. Goldstein, this does not "smell" right. You need your own attorney looking out for your interests.
