Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
recent family death
my wifes father recently died of cancer @ age 50.he was diagnosed about 4 years ago and thought they got it somewhat contained but within the last 4 months it quickly spread to his chest and liver and passed last night.well anyway he was dating a girl for around a year and a half. they were married a few months ago. from the begining we were skeptical because she was well aware he wasnt going to win this battle but claimed that the church would frown on them both for not getting married, and after a while he gave in and were married a few months ago.since he passed all hell has went through the roof in the family. recently his wife (the widow) found out that he made his daughter(my wife) the beneficiary on his life insurance and she made it verbally aware that she was outraged that she was not the beneficiary which right away sent alot of red flags through our heads. from the start we thought she was in it for money and we are kinda think its coming true.are we able to take legal action against her to gain back his possesions or are we wasting our time?

You should consult a probate lawyer. If he had a will, you must follow it. But, if the will cut out his widow (or doesn't mention her), a judge may give her 30% of his estate.
On the other hand, if there was no will, the probate lawyer may tell you that his widow inherits everything.
