Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I just recently relocated and I am the non custodial parent. My relocation was due to the fact that I lost my job and emloyment opportunities are more abundant where I am now which is less than 50 miles away. My ex-wife refuses to meet me half way and insists that I drive all the way to her house to pick them up and return them. If a compromise cannot be worked out between the two of us, can a motion be filed so that we either meet half way or we take turns or something? Her excuse is my vehicle is more economical and that I moved not her. Please help.

The two of you should really work this out. Perhaps you could pay a little toward her gas. It's ridiculous to pay money on court fees, mediations fees, and, possibly, attorneys' fees over a small thing like this. But yes, you can file a motion for modification of parenting plan if you can't agree.
Hello: I read your question and the one response. I agree with that response. You should review your Final Judgment to see what it says on this issue. If my office can be of any assistance on this or in the future, please give us a call. Tom Rosenblum
