Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I currently recieve child support from my son's father though child support enforcement. I was wondering if there is a way for me to recieve an increase in the child support due to the fact that all my monthly expenses have increase. I was currently recieveing help from child care connections to help me pay for child care, but recently lost the help due to a termination of my contract. I was paying $228/ month and now it went up to $560 a month. Which is $140/week. I currently am paying rent of $768/month, plus water, electric, gas, and gas for my car plus all misellanous things for my son and I. I was wondering if i can get a child support increase? Is that even possible? Should i got and take it up with child supposrt offices? Basically I really want to know my legal options.

Normal household expenses are not generally considered in determining the amount of child support. However, if the cost of child care has significantly increased then you MAY be able to get a modification of the amount being paid. Remember, both parents are responsible for child care costs. You should consult with an attorney in person to review the Order which was entered establishing child support and your specific circumstances. There have been some recent changes in the law related to child support and it's not really possible to completely answer your question without a thorough review of the facts in your case.
