Re: recusal of a Judge

Rule 2.330 of the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration (disqualification of trial judges) says that any rulings by the recused judge can be reversed or changed by the new judge if a motion for reconsideration of the old judge's ruling is filed within 20 days of the recusal. The 20-day period can be extended for "good cause" or if there is some other good reason for changing the first judge's ruling.

Otherwise, the first judge's ruling remains.
