Can a person be entitled to compensation from someone that they lived with but did not marry

In a Florida family court, no. In a civil court they may be entitled to payment if they actually loaned money or paid for something or performed services for which they actually expected to be paid. In other words, a contract needed to exist, even if verbal. Very unlikely.
