Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am relocating to another city for a job. Since interviewing for the job, my fiance and I have chosen to separate. We have a 23 month year old to support and lived in an apartment together. I am happy to pay child support, but my ex fiance is asking for a lot of money. She wants me to pay for the rent which is $1,300 as well as child support of $1,000. I am not on the lease, but willing to help with a portion until she has a stable income. Legally, am I required to pay for any of the rent for my ex fiance and baby? Also, what is a fair amount (legally) for me to give her every month to provide for my son.

You are required to pay according to Florida Child Support Guidelines. $1300 per month is too high.
Florida does not recognize "palalimony" You have no obligation to support her under these facts. You do owe child support.
Your child support will depend on both incomes. If she is not employed, then income will be imputed at the minimum wage. See the Florida Family Law Forms - child support - you should be able to figure out an amount that you will owe. As to her support , not.
