Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

relocation

I have 50/50 custody and wish to move 10 miles from my current address to a better neighborhood that is closer to my family and business. My custody agreement states that I should have permission from the other parent to leave the county. The visitation schedule etc. will not change but we will be in another county. Since it is less than 50 miles do I need to request permission from the court? The other parent does not agree to the move.

Re: relocation

You must comply with the Custody Order entered by the court. If this means that you have to obtain court approval for a 10 mile move, then you must get approval.

Without reviewing the Order no one will be able to completely advise you.
