Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

relocation

I have a seven year old with my ex-husband. He does not call to check on her and comes to get her for a couple of days and then she will not see him for 3 or 4 months later.I was thinking about moving back to my hometown Alabama where my father lives.I am going to hire a lawyer in the county where I got divorced at. The father does not have a job at the time.He does pay child support every once in a while. What are my chances of being able to relocate with a lawyer?I am in Lake county,Fl.

Re: relocation

The relocation statute says two of the most important factors in determining whether a relocation will be granted are whether visitation is being exercised and whether child support is paid on time.

Other than that, you'll have to consult with a lawyer and describe your entire situation to find out how good your case is.
